BURNING WASTE PROHIBITED Village ordinance reads as follows…
Section 9-3 Burning Waste Prohibited.
It shall be unlawful for any person to burn yard refuse, garbage, or miscellaneous waste within the Village of Cherry Valley. Residents shall, however, be permitted to burn yard refuse on their own property and not in any public right-of-way between sunrise and sunset on the last two (2) Saturdays and Sundays of October and the first two (2) Saturdays and Sundays of November. All fires must be completely extinguished and not smoldering after sunset and before sunrise. As a result, this year, burning will be allowed from sunrise to sunset on the following days: Saturday, October 18 & Sunday, October 19 Saturday, October 25 & Sunday, October 26 Saturday, November 1 & Sunday, November 2 Saturday, November 8 & Sunday, November 9
for the year 2007 *NOTE: BURNING allowed ONLY on Saturday and Sunday October 20 & 21, then again on 27 & 28 November 3 & 4, then again on 10 & 11
